23 June 2015 – Philippine non-resident Ambassador to Belarus Carlos D. Sorreta met with  Andrei Grinkevich, Head of the Department for Asia, Australia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus on June 11 at the Philippine Embassy in Moscow.

Ambassador Sorreta and Mr. Grinkevich discussed the status of bilateral relations and agreed on the need to increase cooperative exchanges, particularly in the areas of trade and investment, tourism, education, sports, science and technology, and inter-parliamentary exchanges.

Ambassador Sorreta welcomed Belarus’ strong interest to enhance relations with the Philippines noting certain compatibilities between the two countries especially in the IT sector.

The two officials also exchanged views on regional developments notably the situation in Ukraine and Eurasian integration process. END
