Foreign and local tourists at the Old Arbat in Moscow took a break from their shopping and sightseeing to watch the Tinikling performed with precision and enthusiasm by the Philippine Embassy Cultural Performers on 24 August 2016.
The performance was part of the Philippine Street Festival 2016 at the Old Arbat, Moscow’s oldest street and a major pedestrian thoroughfare. The Old Arbat is a top destination for Russian and foreign tourists.
The Philippine Embassy Cultural Performing Group is composed of talented members of the Filipino Community and organized by Dr. Ceasar Dalida, a long time Filipino community leader in Moscow, and Vice-Consul Lu Camoying of the Philippine Embassy.
The Philippine Street Festival is a weeklong showcase of Philippine dance, music, tourism, food, food products, and fashion accessories. It will run from 24 to 30 August 2016 and was organized by the Philippine Embassy in Moscow in cooperation with the Moscow City Government. END
