NOTARIALS
The Embassy provides notarization of documents executed exclusively by Filipinos abroad for the purpose of submitting to authorities or institutions in the Philippines. Notarization of documents are done by a Consular Official of the Embassy, pursuant to existing Philippine jurisprudence and regulations of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
Notarial functions include the administration of oaths and affirmations, execution of affidavits, depositions and other documents that require an oath, including receiving proof and acknowledgment of writing related to commerce and navigation, private acts and deeds.
Personal appearance is required. No proxy or representative is allowed. All documents to be notarized are to be signed in the presence of the Consular Official.

AUTHENTICATION
With the Philippines’ accession to the Apostille Convention becoming effective on May 14, 2019, authentication services between the Philippines and state-parties to the Convention (including Russia, Armenia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan) will no longer be necessary for public documents such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate and School Records.
