Flu Vaccine 2015

30 October 2015 - The Filipino Association in Russia (FAR), one of the registered Filipino organizations in Russia, with the support of the Philippine Embassy in Moscow, successfully held the Annual Flu Vaccination drive at the Embassy on October 25.

Flu vaccine shots were given by Filipino registered nurses under the supervision of Dr. Cesar Dalida, FAR President. One hundred and fifty (150) Filipinos in Moscow availed of the flu vaccine as a preventive measure against a possible intense cold weather in Russia this year. Also, free medical and dental consultations were conducted by Dr. Dalida and Dr. Melanie Cayasen, respectively.

Along with the medical and dental mission, FAR also organized its second Charity Clothing Drive for the marginalized residents of the Moscow region. Recipient-organizations of the clothing drive are charitable organizations in Moscow. Last year, FAR turned-over the donations to Moscow Protestant Chaplaincy (MPC), which provides shelter for the homeless, and Orion, a non-profit community of foster families that aims to provide the abandoned and orphaned children a home.
