18 February 2015 –A “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” was held on February 14 at the Philippine Embassy in Moscow attended by around 100 representatives from eight Filipino organizations in Russia.
This year’s first “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” discussed consular issues particularly including the authentication of employment contracts, Russian legislation concerning migrant workers and programs of the Embassy for OFWs including the scheduling of a registration drive for Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Social Security System (SSS).
The Embassy holds the “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” quarterly to engage the officers and representatives of different Filipino organizations in Russia.
The Filipino organizations in Russia which attended the “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” were Abra Highlander, Atin ‘To, Baguio Support Group, Bayanihan ng Bayan ni Juan, B.I.B.A.K., Bicol Saro Association, Filipino Association in Russia (FAR), and Samahan ng Magkakaibigan at Barkada (SMB). END
